<p>The invention concerns a method for handling and installing a window ledge (1) or a door or French window threshold element and the corresponding window ledge (1) and threshold element. Said method is characterized in that it consists in: forming in suitable position the orifices (3) in the part (1), adapted to receive the rigid and removable rod elements (5) enabling hand grip, said rod elements (5) being first positioned to enable the part (1) to be maneuvered, being then positioned at least in pairs on either side of the part (1) in a zone substantially corresponding to a centerline passing through the center of gravity thereof, and then enabling after withdrawal from the previous position cantilevered translation into the window or French window recess, from inside to the outside thereof, being then positioned at least in pairs, one on each side of the part (1) substantially in its rear portion, and at least one in the rear portion so as to enable lifting, pivoting and cantilevered translation of the part (1) for installation on the recess, by gripping said three engaging points (5).</p> |
