In making the hollow bodies from vulcanisable raw materials, and in particular the manufacture of cylindrical sliding bearings with high tolerances, the bearings are scorched in the vulcaniser until rigid. They are taken out of the vulcaniser, and fully cured, to specification. The bearings are also used in small electric motors.
