<p>An apparatus and method for monitoring how a plurality of biological samples responds to one or more test agents. The apparatus comprises a plate having a plurality of wells, each of which is associated with a working electrode which is exposed to the well's interior. For one or more (e.g. each) of the wells, the relative positions of a biological sample within the well, and its respective working electrode, may be controlled. This provides for assay procedures that are optimized according to the nature of the biological sample (s), the test agent(s), and the purposes of the assays.</p> |
