PURPOSE: A duplexing method by plural link matching structures and link ports of VOP(Voice Over Packet) gateway is provided to make one VOP gateway receive large capacity of subscribers by connecting plural links to a VOP gateway. CONSTITUTION: A main processor(41A) performs a general controlling on a matching card including a path controlling on ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) cells. First and second link matching units(42A,43A) are connected to first link A and second link A which are matched to an ATM network. An ATM port controller(44A) stores ATM cells extracted from the first and second link matching units(42A,43A) in a transmission FIFO according to the path controlling of the main processor(41A), or reads a cell stored in a reception FIFO and transmits it to the first and second link matching units(42A,43A). UTOPIA transmitting/receiving unit(45A) and UTOPIA mediating unit(46A) perform a UTOPIA bus interfacing between the transmission/reception FIFOs and an AAL2 cell processor(33). A link duplexing unit(47A) analyzes a link alarm detected by the first and second link matching units(42A,43A) to determine a duplex state of a link port, controls a link matching unit of an inactive link port not to receive an ATM cell reception transferred from the ATM network, and controls only a link matching unit of an active link port to receive the ATM cell transferred from the ATM network. If the number of cards mounted in the AAL2 cell processor(33) is increased, the UTOPIA mediating unit(46A) generates card select control signals(PHY-A,PHY-B) so that the AAL2 cell processor(33) can select an ATM matching card(34A).
