The invention relates to a composition for stabilising amino acids containing sulphur and/or for inhibiting the continuous formation of amino acids containing sulphur in a blood sample. The invention also relates to the use of suitable substances and compositions therefor and, optionally, for determining amino acids containing sulphur in the blood. The invention further relates to an appropriate method and a blood collecting device which is used according to said appropriate method.
