Sound proofed computer has open porous foam to provide the soundproofing and a Peltier element arranged to provide effective cooling of the computer integrated circuits

Computer is sound proofed using open porous foam material, while a fan is still provided for cooling. In addition a Peltier element is also provided for cooling the electronic components. The latter are placed in thermal contact with the cooling side of the Peltier element, with good thermal contact provided by provision of the thermal conducting paste. The hot side of the Peltier element is exposed to cooling surrounding air, and so cooled accordingly.
