According to the invention, the device for treating fodder comprises a rotor (17) which is rotated about an axis (17a) and consists of a carrier (24) and at least one conditioning element (23). Said conditioning element (23) comprises at least one active part (26) which is used to work the fodder, and a first connection part (27) which is used to connect the conditioning element (23) to the carrier (24) by means of a first connection. The inventive device for treating fodder is characterised in that it comprises a second connection which connects the conditioning element (23) to the carrier (24) if the first connection breaks.
