LASER OSCILLATOR AND OPTICAL AMPLIFIER

A laser oscillator comprising a laser medium, an output mirror and a reflector disposed on the opposite sides of the laser medium to constituting a resonator, and producing a laser oscillation output utilizing an amplification gain obtained by absorbing the energy of pumping light into the laser medium. The laser oscillator further comprises a corner cube disposed on the outside of the output mirror and reflecting incident pumping light, and means disposed on the optical axis of the corner cube and the output mirror and condensing the pumping light reflected by the corner cube into the laser medium, wherein the central axis of the corner cube is set in parallel with the central axis of the condensing means while spaced apart by the beam radius of pumping light or more.
