UREA COMPOSITIONS

The invention is directed to compositions, methods of making the composition s, and methods of treating cosmetic and dermatological disorders with a composition that includes a molecular complex between urea and a functional substance that has at least one hydroxyl group and one carboxyl group either as a free acid, a salt, an amide or a lactone. The compositions are stable when compared to conventional urea-containing compositions, and provide controlled-release of the urea.
