A dwelling or small business has a central heating system discharging hot effluent gases through a chimney section esp. with a cavity wall. The cavity wall section is closed top and bottom, but has a cold water inlet (6) and a hot water outlet (5). The inlet draws cooled radiator water from the central heating system. The outlet returns heated water to the central heating system.
