The lift (1) consists of several telescopically mutually locking profiled sections the bottom one of which is eccentrically supported on a base frame(7). The side of the last, top profile pointing away from the last profile but one has a carriage (8) which telescopes in relation to the top profile and supports a cage (9). A second cage (10) is positioned on the side of the top profiled section diametrically opposite the first work-cage. The two cages are spaced apart by means of struts (13) supported on the carriage.
