The device has a fixed vacuum housing for an electron emitting cathode and electron beam focusing, an anode tiltable in all directions with a conical pot and spherical end, a spring bellows enabling the tilting motion, a drive arrangement for oscillatory movement of the pot relative to the cathode and a cooling system for delivering coolant to the anode pot floor with outlet nozzles. The coolant is simultaneously used to drive the anode pot. The device has a fixed vacuum housing (1) for accommodating an electron emitting cathode (2) and an arrangement for focusing the electron beam, an anode (3) on the housing tiltable in all directions with a conical anode pot (4) and a spherical end surface (5), a spring bellows (7) enabling the tilting movement, a drive arrangement for achieving an oscillatory movement of the pot relative to the fixed cathode and a cooling system for delivering coolant to the floor (9) of the anode pot with outlet nozzles. The coolant is simultaneously used to drive the anode pot.
