Centrifuge worm conveyor - with wear resistant plates bonded to worm turn periphery

A worm for the transport of solids deposited in a horizontal centrifuge has on the periphery of the leading face of the helical turns rectangular plates, made of wear-resistant material. The outside peripheral edge of these plates is a convex circular arc; the radial faces have the shape of a convex (leading) and concave (lagging) circular arch with the same radius of curvature. If adhesive is used to bond the plates to the worm periphery, worn plates can be easily replaced. The same size of plate can now be used for all turns of the control worm.
