Leak detector with retractable nozzle for test gas - has inflatable pocket to indicate faulty nozzle seal

A leak detector (1) includes a chamber (2) for the location of a test vessel (9). The chamber (2) is located by a base plate (3) through which a vacuum pump (5) and a leak detector unit (7) are connected with the test chamber (2). A supply nozzle (8) which feeds test gas into the test vessel (9) through pipe (12) is located in the upper wall of the detector housing (2). The nozzle has a seal flange with two concentric seal ring and a circular groove between them. If the test vessel leaks, the detector (7) will respond. If the leak occurs through the seal flange on the nozzle (8), an elastic bag (13) inflates to indicate the fault.
