<p>The fibres are embedded in elastomer, friction materials and slip-assisting substances. The thermall stable fibres act as an asbestos substitute and thus avoid asbestos pollution. Uniform property linings are easily produced. Thin, high strength, high performance linings can be made. The fibres can be present as 1-40 mm long and be woven or loose fibres in admixture with metal, ceramic, mineral or other organic fibres. The fibres can comprise up to 90% of the lining.</p> |
