<p>The process produces flexible composite sheets of two or more layers to protect the covered surfaces of e.g. furniture or motor vehicles from physical and/or chemical action. The sheets have external perforated or net-type components, and are placed on the surfaces to be protected so that these components act as distance pieces between the surfaces concerned and the sheet supporting material, thus forming air cushions. Plastic, metal, cardboard and/or paper can be used for the layers, while the perforated or net-type components can be of adhesive material, typically activated by heat, so as to stick to the surface under pressure.</p> |
