<p>An elevator display system comprises a speed detector which detects the speed of an elevator cage and outputs the speed detection signal, a position detector which detects the position of the elevator cage and outputs the position detection signal, an operation control system which controls the operation of the elevator cage, and outputs speed information, stop floor information, and cage position information based on the speed detection signal and the position detection signal, and a display device provided in the elevator cage or at a landing and having a display control device and a display unit. The display device continuously displays a plurality of floor names on the periphery of a predetermined shape based on the speed information, the stop floor information, and the cage position information, separately displays the floor name of the current position of the elevator cage and the floor name of the position other than the current position, and displays the names of the continuous floors on the periphery of the predetermined shape proportionally to the moving speed of the elevator cage. Thus, the sense of blockade in the elevator cage and the irritation caused by the waiting time before the cage arrives can be mitigated.</p> |
