The specifically shaped cover (1) is made of a lightweight, slightly elastic material and provided with elasticated edges around the openings (2) for the insertion of the legs (3), the tail, et cetera. The particular way of moving is taken into account by providing ruffled areas for extension if required. Fleece patches or strips soaked with an insecticide can be attached to the outer surface of the cover (1), avoiding allergic reactions of the skin of the animal.
