The invention relates to an air purification device for a vehicle cabin, comprising an air-conditioning unit with a fan assembly providing a flow of air in an air distribution duct in which an evaporator (10) is arranged with upstream (20) and downstream surfaces (12). Said device comprises a photocatalytic agent deposited on the downstream surface of the evaporator and a light source (14) is arranged upstream of the evaporator with respect to the air flow, such as to irradiate the majority of the surface downstream of the evaporator and an ioniser (18) is arranged upstream of the particle filter, before a grille (19), for the filtration of particles with a particle size having dimensions greater than a given diameter.
