A root key Kroot is acquired from EKB of a content provided by a content server (3). Moreover, data E (Kroot, Kekb) is decoded by the acquired root key Kroot and an EKB key Kekb is acquired. On the other hand, a use right provided from a license server (4) contains data E (Kpub, Ksub) which is decoded by a private key Kpri and a sub key Ksub is acquired. By the EKB key Kekb and the sub key Ksub, a content key Kc is generated and the content is decoded by the generated content key Kc. The present invention can be applied to a personal computer using a content provided via a network such as the Internet.</p> |
