An automatic inspection system is provided that ensures a method of measuring the gel state of an object and the sol-gel state change of an object, and enables the total inspection on a production line of a product consisting of such an object. A light scattering observation system that applies a coherent light (e.g., laser beam) to a gel object or a sol-gel state change-causing object and forms an image by means of a two-dimensional image recognizing means is used to analyze and digitize the image of a light ray section formed on the surface of the object or an observation or the state of a speckle pattern, whereby the gel state of the object, the sol-gel state change of the object, and the gel-sol state change of the object are evaluated.
