<p>An amplitude/phase information acquiring part (105) acquires information indicative of those variations of the amplitude and phase which a communication traffic signal exhibits from a time when antenna receptions occur to a time when the traffic signal is received by the amplitude/phase information acquiring part (105), by use of a prove signal exhibiting the same variations of the amplitude and phase as the foregoing variations. A reception power measurement part (106) measures the reception powers of the communication traffic signal and prove signal. A calibration value control part (107) appropriately decides, based on the amplitude/phase information and the reception powers, the calibration values for compensating for the variations of the amplitude and phase of the communication traffic signal. A compensating part (108) uses the calibration values decided based on the reception powers to compensate for the variations of the amplitude and phase of the communication traffic signal for each antenna. In this way, there can be provided an adaptive array antenna receiver apparatus that compensates for differences of the amplitude/phase characteristics caused by variations of the input power levels of electronic elements to perform a correct directional control.</p> |
