Urea, an ester, and uretdione group containing polyaddition compounds with free, partially or totally blocked isocyanate groups obtained by reaction of urea and uredione group containing polyaddition compound with free, partially or totally blocked isocyanate groups obtained from the reaction product of isophorone di isocyanate (IPDI)-uretdione with water and diamines, and with a polyester from succinic derivs. and butandiol are new. Urea, an ester, and a uretdione group containing polyaddition compounds with free, partially or totally blocked isocyanate groups of free NCO group content 0-2% and total NCO content (free and latent) NCO groups)of 5-16%, functionality at most 2 and m.pt. 90-160degreesC, obtained by reaction of :(A) at least one urea and uredione group containing polyaddition compound with free, partially or totally blocked isocyanate groups of total NCO content 10-18%, obtained from the reaction product of isophorone di isocyanate (IPDI)-uretdione with water, or with di secondary diamines or di primary diamines and maleic acid or fumaric acid ester, or with diamines containing a primary or secondary amino group, or with a diamine mixture of di primary diamines, primary secondary amines and di secondary diamines, and (B) a polyester from Bernstein acid and/or its anhydride and butandiol. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for preparation of the polyaddition compounds by reaction of:(a) IPDU-uretdione, (b) water, (c) di secondary amines from di primary diamines and maleic or fumaric acid ester, or (d) diamines containing a primary and a secondary amino group, or (e) a diamine mixture of primary diamines, primary secondary diamines, and di secondary diamines, and (f) a polyester from Bernstein acid or its anhydride with butanol-1, and (g) optionally with aliphatic mono alcohols and/or primary and/or secondary aliphatic and/or cycloaliphatic 1-14C monoamines; (2) a transparent or pigmented polyurethane powder paint containing the polyaddition compounds in combination with OH-group containing polymers; (3) a transparent or pigmented polyurethane powder paint containing the polyaddition compounds in combination with polyesters and/or hydroxy acrylates.
