PURPOSE: An information storage medium storing interactive contents version information and recording and reproducing method of the information storage medium are provided to allow a reproducing apparatus to display even interactive contents produced by a tool that supports an arbitrary interactive contents version. CONSTITUTION: An information storage medium includes AV data having audio data and/or video data, a markup text that defines a display window on which an AV image obtained on the basis of the AV data is displayed in order to reproduce the AV image in an interactive presentation mode, and the minimum interactive contents version information capable of being reproduced by a reproducing apparatus. The minimum interactive contents version information is stored in a management information table for reproduction control information files in the markup text.
