<p>The apparatus comprises a rotating grate having the form of a fixed, truncated cone with a vertical rotation axis. The cone generatrix forms, with the horizontal, an angle equalling that of the dynamic slope of the materials being treated. The grate is perforated by holes whose dia. is smaller than the smallest dimension of the materials being treated, and has truncated orthogonal lips on its inner and outer perimeter. A blast box is arranged under the grate, and the materials to be truncated are fed through the grate. Devices ignite the combustible components in the materials, and cool the treated materials before they are removed.</p> |
