<p>PURPOSE:To detect the tension or compressive force of the material under rolling by providing curved seats deviating slightly from the vertical centerline between the bottom face of a roll chock and housing beam and measuring the pressure being exerted to roll post. CONSTITUTION:The housing post 1 and housing lower beam 2 of a rolling mill support upper and lower rolls 3, 4 by way of roll chocks 5, 6. Curved jigs 7, 8 deviated slightly from the center-line of the housing are installed between the lower roll chock 6 and housing beam 2. Also arrangement is so made that a ressure detector 9 in contact with the housing post 1 is provided to the lateral portion on the side opposite from the side where the curved jigs 7, 8 deviate. As a result, if the measured value of the pressure detector 9 is compared with the values having before hand been measured at the rolling under no tension and no compressive pressure, the tension or compressive force of the material under rolling may be detected with the simple constitution.</p> |
