PURPOSE: A projection display device is provided to remarkably reduce manufacturing cost of the projection display device by directly coupling a prism block to an LCD panel, thereby reducing the number of expensive dust preventive panels. CONSTITUTION: A projection display device includes a prism block(10) for receiving and mixing light. LCD modules(30) are directly attached to three side surfaces of the prism block(10). The LCD module(30) includes a TFT substrate(32) having liquid crystal material and an opposite substrate(36). Dust preventive panels(40) are stacked in each LCD module(30). A plurality of incident-side polarizing plates is stacked on the dust preventive panel(40). An output-side polarizing plate(60) is attached to the remaining one plane of the prism block(10). The incident-side polarizing plates have the same polarizing direction. |
