PURPOSE: A method for displaying a caller ID of a mobile communication terminal is provided to exactly search and display a user registered in a telephone directory by the caller ID, when a call is received from the user whose telephone number is only registered without a subscriber service number, thereby improving user convenience. CONSTITUTION: While only a telephone number is stored without a service number(S101), a call is received from a user of the telephone number(S102). A user terminal receives the call with a caller ID(S103). The user terminal decides whether a provider number received as the caller ID is the same as the service number of the current user(S104). If not, the user terminal displays the telephone number of the caller ID(S105). The user terminal retrieves whether a number same as the rest telephone number except the service number exists in a telephone directory(S106). If so, the user terminal displays the user of the retrieved number(S107).
