The device has a steering angle sensor connected to a steering valve controlling the connection between a steering cylinder with a pressure source and a container. Correction device enables synchronization between steering angle sensor and steering drive positions when the steering drive or steering angle sensor is in a reference range and the sensor or drive is outside the reference range. The device has a steering angle sensor (2) connected to a steering valve controling the connection between a steering cylinder with a pressure source and a container and a correction device (15) enabling synchronization between the positions of the steering angle sensor and the steering drive (11). The correction device enables synchronization between the positions of the steering angle sensor and the steering drive when the steering drive or steering angle sensor is in a reference range and the sensor or drive is outside the reference range.
