PURPOSE: A roller hemming apparatus is provided, which is mounted on the tip of arm of articulated robot so that inner panel and outer panel on jig are reciprocally hemming worked using pressing force by rolling contact through steel rollers. CONSTITUTION: In a hemming apparatus for reciprocally hemming working the edge part of inner panel and outer panel, the roller hemming apparatus comprises a mounting bracket(109) which is attached to the tip of arm of articulated robot moved along style line of a lower mold die for supporting the panels, and at one side of which guide(117) is installed; a guide block(119) slidingly mounted on the guide of the mounting bracket; an operating cylinder(121) mounted on the other side of the mounting bracket so that the operating cylinder is connected to the upper surface of the guide block through an operating rod(123); and a hemming roller(131) mounted on the lower surface of the guide block to hemming work the panels with being rolling contacted with the panels, wherein the mounting bracket comprises an upper plate(111) on one side of which the tip of the arm of the articulated robot is mounted, and on the upper part of the other side of which the operating cylinder is mounted; a guide plate(113) which is vertically mounted on the lower part of the upper plate, and on one surface of which the guide is longitudinally mounted; and a supporting plate(115) for connecting the guide plate to the upper plate, wherein the operating cylinder comprises a pneumatic cylinder for supplying a set pressing force to the guide block by receiving adjusted pneumatic pressure from pneumatic pressure controller, and wherein the hemming roller is formed of a metallic material.
