摘要 PURPOSE: A ball bearing assembly is provided to reduce manufacturing cost thereof by reducing a number of parts and to maintain superior absorbing performance with respect to vibration or shock transferred from a lower portion of a steering shaft. CONSTITUTION: A ball bearing assembly(160) includes a cylindrical race(164) positioned at an outermost portion of the ball bearing assembly(160), a leaf spring(161) positioned adjacent to the cylindrical race(164), a plurality of balls(162), and a cage(163) for restricting the plurality of balls(162). The cylindrical race(164) is provided at upper and lower ends thereof with a rim. The leaf spring(161) is formed with a plurality of convex sections(172) and a plurality of concave sections positioned between the convex sections(172). The cage(163) has a plurality of fixing holes(174). The number of fixing holes(174) is identical to a number of supporting holes(173) formed in the leaf spring(161). The balls(162) are partially inserted into the supporting holes(173) of the leaf spring(161).
