The nozzle consists of a core tube located concentrically in an outer tube; and tube has an axial hole through which the cutting gas flows. The annular gap between the two tubes is provided with inlets for heating gases entering mixing chambers formed by >=2 flats on the external dia. of tube. From the mixing chambers, the heating gas mixt. flows into a distribution chamber leading to outlet channels formed by longitudinal slots on the external surface of tube at the outlet end of the nozzle. The back end of tube is clamped in tube. This nozzle can be mfd. by a min. number of simple machining operations, as compared with the large number of complex machining operations required in mfg. conventional nozzles.
