<p>The grape harvester is mounted on a tractor with the wheels (2, 3) straddling a row of vines. A container (14) is mounted on each side of the tractor (1) to receive the bunches of grapes. The container are attached to the chassis by a straight link (23) and a curved link (15, 16). A hydraulic jack (21) raises the container upwards and forwards to tip the contents into the waiting truck (24). The lengths of the links (23, 15, 16) and their points of attachment are so chosen that the tipping motion occurs at the end of the upward motion.</p> |
