PURPOSE: A method for managing heat of a portable device according to a remaining battery is provided to efficiently use the power charged in a battery on a state of an optimized CPU performance by operating the optimized heat management in consideration of the remaining battery. CONSTITUTION: A CPU checks whether the temperature is over the first reference temperature(S10). If the remaining battery is over 50% of entire battery capacity, a remaining battery detection/control part decreases the CPU heat by driving a fan in order to carry out the heat management operation by an active cooling mode(S30). If the sensed temperature is over the second reference temperature, a remaining battery detection/control part decreases the heat of the CPU by decreasing an actual operation frequency of the CPU in order to carry out the heat management operation by a passive cooling mode(S40).
