PURPOSE: Ischemia-related genes and a composition for diagnosing ischemia comprising the same are provided. The genes are useful for the prevention and treatment of ischemia stroke. CONSTITUTION: Ischemia-related genes include regenerating liver inhibitory factor-1 (RL/IF-1) gene having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, interferon-induced protein (IFN-IP) gene having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2, neurodegeneration-associated protein-1 (NDGAP-1) gene having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 3, and neuronal pentraxin receptor (NPR) gene having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 4. A composition for diagnosing ischemia comprises the ischemia-related genes.
