PURPOSE: A catalytic carrier fabricated by using ceramics is provided, which has high temperature resistance, high impact resistance and zig-zag shaped gas passages. CONSTITUTION: The catalytic carrier is formed of a mixture of alumina, silica, zeolite, and kaolin, the catalytic carrier(4) having jig-jagged gas passages(5) on the surface thereof and a space(3) where waste gas is mixed at a lower end thereof along its edge. The carrier is prepared by mixing alumina 20-40%, silica 20-40%, zeolite 10-25%, and kaolin 10-30%; adding foaming agent and binder to the mixture; drying the mixture at 30-100°C; compressing and moulding the mixture; and sintering the mouldings at temperature of 1300-1500°C for 3-5 hrs in oxygen ambient.
