PURPOSE: A high-capacity integrated access device and a control method therefor are provided to form a voice channel between the high-capacity integrated access device and a keyphone system, thereby reducing production cost and forming more telephones and voice channels. CONSTITUTION: A modem(18) transceives a voice signal and a data signal with a digital subscriber line access multiplexer. A keyphone system connector(26) connected to a keyphone system inputs and outputs the voice signal with the keyphone system. A hook state detector(24) detects a hook state of the keyphone system through the keyphone system connector(26). A channel selector(22) inputs/outputs the voice signal between the modem(18) and the keyphone system connector(26) according to the detected hook state, and forms a voice channel with the keyphone system. A controller(16) controls the channel selector(22) in order to form the voice channel with the keyphone system.
