The reinforced unit is fitted to a large refuse bin, which has a pin receiver (28) and a pin unit (29) on opposite side walls, passing under the outwardly projecting and downward-cropped edge (7) of the body. The pin unit is considerably wider in the upper region which locks under the edge, being at least twice the width that it is in the lower region at the height of the pin receiver.
