PURPOSE:To make broader the range of possible operation for complex numbers, by comparing the absolute value of the real and imaginary parts of the divisor given at the comparison means, and taking the value in which the smaller absolute value is divided by another from the result of comparison, as the multiplicand on the way of operation of rationalization. CONSTITUTION:The real part (a) and imaginary part (b) of the divisor and the real part (c) and imaginary part (d) of the dividend to be operated and input from the external circuit EXT are respectively written in the data registers A-D, and the absolute values of the real part (a) and the imaginary part (b) of the divisor are compared at the comparison circuit 50. The result of comparison at this circuit 50 is input to the control circuit 10, the address to be read out from the memory 20 is switched based on the result, and the data smaller in the real part (a) and imaginary part (b) of the divisor read out from the registers A, B are divided with other data at the multiplication and division circuit 60, and the result is fed to the data register W1, and register A or B. Further, the operation of rationalization is made at the operation circuit such as registers A-W3, multiplication and division circuit 60 and addition and subtraction circuit 70, to prevent the production of overflow on the way of operation and to make broader the range of possible operation. |
