PURPOSE:To increase the coding process speed as well as simplify the process for the device which gives the code compression to the binary coded picture signal, by reading out the code corresponding to the relative position difference plus the data showing the digit number. CONSTITUTION:In case changing points a1 and b1 emerge previously on the coding line and the reference line each, the run length is counted up to point a1 or b1 of the coding line of the reference line. And a comparison is given through the comparator between the digit number of run length MH code and that of the 2-dimensional code. Thus the vertical mode is coded. Accordingly, a simple comparison can be given to decide to adopt the 1-dimensional code or the code showing the relative shift between the changing points of the two lines. |
