PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope light source device having two light source lamps wherein a changeover to the other light source lamp is executed when one light source lamp is broken, configured in a stable form vertically relatively low configuration to a floor face. SOLUTION: This endoscope light source device has a housing 10, and the two light source lamps 18A, 18B housed therein. The two light source lamps 18A, 18B are mounted on a movable lamp mounting base 20. The lamp mounting base 20 is rotatable around a vertical rotational axis to the floor face, between first and second lamp changeover positions to the housing 10. By positioning the lamp mounting base 20 to the first lamp changeover position, one light source lamp 18A is optically connected to a light guide cable 42 for guiding illumination light to an endoscope. By positioning the lamp mounting base 20 to the second lamp changeover position, the other light source lamp 18B is optically connected to the light guide cable 42. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
