<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate resin composition which exhibits a high stiffness, high precision transfer properties of the shape of a stamper, a low water absorption, and clarity; and an optical disk substrate obtained therefrom. <P>SOLUTION: This resin composition is prepared by compounding a diphenylsulfone compound and/or a phenylsulfonic acid phenyl ester compound with 100 pts.wt. polycarbonate resin in an amount of 0.1-20 pts.wt.
