STYRENIC RESIN FOAM AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin foam that has both of heat insulating properties and flame retardance compatibly and can be produced easily by using a foaming agent with less environmental problems selected from among 3-5C saturated hydrocarbons. SOLUTION: This styrenic resin foam is manufactured by extrusion foaming of a styrenic resin. The styrenic resin foam is characterized in that it contains at least one compound selected from 3-5C saturated hydrocarbons as the partial or full foaming agent and a halogenated pentaerythritol as a flame retardant.
