PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device capable of easily operated, surely setting sheets stacked on a paper feeder without affected by skewing, and preventing oblique feeding or skew feeding. SOLUTION: This guide device 100 comprises a guide for guiding and setting the paper stacked on a plate configurating a paper tray or a paper cassette of a paper feeder of a business machine such as a printer and a copying machine, a slide fixing part for mounting the guide movably onto the paper feeding plate, a locking part for locking the guide to the plate after an edge of the paper is guided and set by the guide, and a skew prevention part 130 having a pair of racks 112, 114 formed on a frame approximately in parallel to each other at a specific distance to each other, and at least a pair of pinions 135, 137 rotatably mounted on the guide in a state of being opposite to the racks to be engaged with each other.
