<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an epoxide compound, by which the epoxide compound can be produced from an olefin compound, even when a solvent having problem in an environmental aspect and in the aspect of occupational safety and health is not used. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing an epoxide compound is characterized by reacting the olefin compound with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a phosphoric acid compound and at least one compound selected from the group which consists of tungsten compounds comprising tungsten and the group IIIb, IVb, Vb or VIb elements, molybdenum compounds comprising molybdenum and the group IIIb, IVb, Vb or VIb elements, metal oxides obtained by reacting hydrogen peroxide with at least one selected from the group consisting of tungsten metal and molybdenum metal, tertiary amine compounds, tertiary amine oxide compounds, nitrogen-containing aromatic compounds, and nitrogen- containing aromatic N-oxide compounds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
