PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam which is simply disposable at a low cost when it becomes useless, and a method of producing the foam. SOLUTION: The foam 100A is produced by kneading a mixture obtained by adding talc to a foaming material containing 40 wt.% polypropylene and 60 wt.% corn starch as a nonresin component at a specific weight ratio with water with the use of an extrusion molding machine, and subjecting the kneaded product to steam foaming. This foam 100A can be disposed as the general garbage because the content of the nonresin component is≥50 wt.% based on the total weight, and thus can be simply disposed at a low cost.
