PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool with a longer life realizing small weight and multi-blade by thinning a tool body. SOLUTION: In the cutting tool, a cutting blade is detachably attached to a tip end of the tool body. The cutting tool body has a composition comprising 0.2≤C≤0.6%, 0<Si≤1.2%, 0.5≤V≤1.5%, 0<Mn≤0.8%, (containing Cr or Cr and Mo) 2≤(Cr+1/2Mo)≤6.5% and the remainder: substantially Fe. Hardness of the tool body is HRC 40 or more. A nitride layer is formed on the surface of the tool body.
