<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which enables a user to efficiently take out his or her printed papers. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 2 receives a printing job sent from a host computer 1 connected by a communication medium generates images and discharges printed papers by selecting one of a plurality of paper discharge destination trays. Further, the printer is equipped with a sound output controller 22 for outputting by sound, user information added to the printing job from the host computer 1, and a paper discharge destination tray name for identifying the paper discharge destination tray for the discharged papers when the discharge of all pages of the printing job is completed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
