PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce likelihood of delay in inflation of an airbag caused by leakage of an inflator from a joint portion of the airbag, by enlarging an area of receiving face receiving an occupant, in the airbag. SOLUTION: A first base cloth 1, a second base cloth 2 and a receiving base cloth 3 are provided, an edge of the first base cloth 1 is connected with an edge of the second base cloth 2, an edge of the receiving base cloth 3 is connected with edges of the first base cloth 1 and second base cloth 2 to provide the airbag in a developed state. A rear edge 1b of the first base cloth 1 is joined with a lower edge 3b of the receiving base cloth 3, a rear edge 2b of the second base cloth 2 is joined with an upper edge 3a of the receiving base cloth 3, the other edges 1c, 1d, 2c, 2d, 3c, 3d of the first base cloth 1, second base cloth 2 and receiving base cloth 3 are joined together to form the airbag in a shape of bag.
