PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jet nozzle for forming a jet flow which is scarcely affected by a force from a lateral side and excellent in the rectilinearity, and a jet method using the nozzle. SOLUTION: In a jet face of a jet nozzle 12, a ring-shaped projection 10 is formed on the outside, a recess 11 is formed in the inside, and a plurality of jet holes 8 are arranged at a boundary part 9 of the projection and the recess. In the jet method, the jet nozzle jets the fluid toward a moving medium in a range of the expression (1), Q>;[(M×V×sinθ)×L]/[(8ρ)<SP>1/2</SP>c×H×p×<SP>1/2</SP>], as a jet condition, wherein, Q: the rate of flow of the jet fluid per unit time, M: the mass flow rate per unit time of the moving medium, V: the flow rate of the moving medium, L: the width of the moving medium,ρ: the density of the jet fluid, c: the flow rate coefficient of the jet nozzle, H: the maximum value of the deviation amount of a track of the jet fluid, p: jet pressure,θ: the angle which the jet direction of the fluid forms with the moving direction of the moving medium.
